Well, put me down for not liking shopping either. Along with viruses, overly reactive people and politics. At some point this week, I have to prep for a very small thanksgiving dinner. Me, my daughter, and my husband. I'm seriously considering turkey TV dinners and being thankful I don't have to clean the kitchen much after. I could spend a bunch of money on a feast, or I could put back a bunch of staples. I still haven't fully recovered from not doing any shopping when covid first hit, and loosing a freezer half full of meat two months ago.

lilith My son and I are having half a lasagna, green bean casserole and biscuits for our Thanksgiving celebration on Saturday. I am considering getting one slice of deli turkey for a sandwich for Thursday. I like the TV dinner idea- it would be easier on your foot. I am slowly getting my stuff out of the farm. I brought back two loads of stuff this week, so far...

Ah yes, the foot. Well there is some really good news! X-rays look great and the doc is FINALLY letting me put weight on it. Ok, so I'm not signing up for the Boston Marathon or anything, but being able to get out of bed and walk my self to the bathroom in the middle of the night without having to grab crutches .... It feels like I've been released on parole for good behavior.

adinwnc, I sure don't envy anyone that has to move, let alone move so much stuff. It's good you keep at it. It must be backbreaking. lilith, I'm glad to hear your foot is healing and you are able to do more. Thank God.

lilith I went to the grocery store this morning and noticed that the Marie Callendar TV dinners are on sale. They are my BFF's favorite type, so I thought that I would suggest them. 😉 I am really happy to hear that your foot is getting better! feather thanks for the kind words and sympathy! I am thoroughly tired of boxing up and moving stuff! I am only doing a few boxes at a time so that I don't break my back. The house is showing progress, but all of my Christmas stuff is in the top of the barn and I haven't started that yet. 😝 I have to unload the car and unpack the last three loads of boxes - I'd rather cook for an army of ungrateful relatives. On a happier note, I replaced the light bulbs in the ceiling fan in the living room with LED bulbs. I used 60 watt ones instead of the 40 watts that the light came with. What an improvement! The farm has flourescent bulbs and the new house has LED's which are much brighter for less power usage. They are supposed to last for 13 years - we'll see. Since we will celebrate Thanksgiving on Saturday, tomorrow I am planning on canning the pork loins and some chicken breasts that have been in my freezer too long. I recycled several cases of canning jars and I have enough lids to create more space in my freezer. Yay! Hope everyone has a safe, and delicious Thanksgiving!

Stay the course!
Thanks and I hope everyone has a safe and delicious Thanksgiving too. Gobble Gobble.
