Last time I made this bread we were eating butter and whatnot. The next time I make bread, I'm going to make it with garlic and parsley. It will be whole wheat or sprouted grain bread, for variety. I'm not sure what to use to get that sheen on the bread, something not eggs, I'll have to think about that a while.

Mine looked good and we enjoyed it except for the tumor growing off the upper left part that was extra.

feather, Some people use the aquafaba--the liquid left after cooking beans in place of egg for the sheen. I've not tried it. I would do it with the aquafaba from a lighter colored bean, though.
