Posting an image-using a free picture server online

Here are directions for posting images. You must know how to copy and paste on your computer/laptop/device. If you have questions about steps #1-4, please be as specific as you can in asking questions about it. Since there are many people that may benefit from this post I'll update any part of it that is not clear/correct/specific, to make it more clear.

We can work on this together-as a group.

1. I post my pictures on a free image server: postimages.org/ open a free account with your email address (do not pay for premium). UPLOAD an image from your computer by clicking CHOOSE IMAGES.

It uploads the images I use one at a time. (see image server #1)

2. Go to the place you want to post the image within homesteadheaven, in your reply to a post or in starting a post. Place your cursor in the place you want the image.

Then I click on the button/icon which says 'insert image', a box comes up. (see image below #2)

3. Now in another window of your browser go back to the free image server. I go to the image. I click on the blue image to the far right of 'direct link' which copies the link to the image into my COPY/paste on my computer. (see image below #3) (or click 'share', for those links and blue images to come up)

4. Back to homesteadheaven window for your reply or post.

In the top part of the box where it says 'image URL' I PASTE the link to the image.

Click the button with in that box that says 'Insert image'. (see image below #4)

Then you will have your picture posted.
